That was the first thing that drew my attention: they kept the name of the place in Spanish — and wear their proud flag colors on the walls.

The second thing that drew me in was that it is painted in vibrant colors — as much a part of the place's decoration as they are a part of their culture.
There are typical pieces all around the room, too: an amazing, huge red-and-white Mexican hat, a colorful poncho, and many more things.
The place looks and feels so cozy and familiar because it actually is run by an entire family, who divide the tasks between them and smile at you at all times.

Ricardo's promise
Ricardo, the owner, is also the head of the family — and he promises that his food is as good as the one found in Mexico itself.
I spoke to him, and he told me he comes from a long line of a gastronomy family and came to the north of the continent to find new opportunities for himself and his family.
I thought it was awesome to contribute to a dream come true — and also get to taste some of the best enchiladas and burritos I've had in a long time.
The verdict
Conclusion
It is not as strange as a soup restaurant that also grills burgers, but my friends wonder what I'm doing in such a classic place, given my tastes.
I guess the fact that I'm helping a family of fighters — who struggled a lot and made it this far — while enjoying some awesome home-made dishes is hard to beat. I strongly recommend you visit Ricardo and his family; they truly are awesome.
