Discover The Vegetarian Options Offered By Wandering Moose Café, Cumberland
Do you know the difference between a vegetarian place and a vegan place?
I learnt about it just recently and it is that the first can use derives from animals like cheese or eggs while the others cannot.
It is a minor difference in one´s head but a huge one to the vegan/vegetarian world.
There are things like mayonnaise, for example, that needs eggs to be done and hence, vegans don´t eat.
Another major difference is the pasta that takes eggs in the making and they won´t have it.
Read on and find out every option that this amazing vegetarian food chef can offer you (there are great things for meat-eaters like me too!)
If you get there early enough to be sitted, you can enjoy one of the best breakfasts in the region. I love eating breakfast out and do it all the time, so trust me, it is a great spot.
For starters, the mixture of flour tortilla and scrambled eggs is just breath-taking. You can add the side salsa and some cheddar cheese to make the ultimate breakfast burrito that shall accompany you the entire day.
The tortilla is so good, it almost melts inside your mouth and the eggs mixed with the right amount of cheddar are just an explosion.
The bagel is just as good, it can be ordered without the bacon and you will be left with this round and amazing sandwich of perfectly-baked bread, scrambled eggs and a generous amount of melted cheddar cheese.
For the most traditional breakfast-takers, the grilled breakfast croissant and the cheese scone (homemade like the rest of it) bathed on sweet and tasty strawberry jam (homemade too) is just irresistible.
The croissant can be filled again with scrambled eggs and cheddar or can be eaten alone with some strawberry jam in the middle.
Everything you try is amazing and the coffee matches the food in every inch of the way. There are also great blends of teas that will ignite your curiosity even further.
Lunch And Dinner
Every day they offer a different type of soup to try before your meal and they are always amazing.
After the soup you can have a sandwich from a selection of great ingredients such as tomato, sprouts, lettuce, pea shoots, cucumber, cheddar cheese and spinach in any combination you like to create your own
This can all happen in a multigrain bread that is amazing. There´s a meat version of the sandwich too, and you can choose between ham, turkey, or roast beef. It´s absolutely delicious!
The veggie calzone, garden bagel and the Caesar salad are some of the most tasty vegetarian options I have ever had in a restaurant, except for falafel, but that is a different story.
